Taxi!
One of the area's most ambitious taxi companies says it's 'all white now' for customers in and around Sefton as Alpha makes its mark in the town.
Its busy offices on Eastbank St. now sport the Alpha livery and this morning a company spokesman told QLocal reporter Roger Blaxall: "We've got a big fleet in Southprt and so far our move has been a positive experience for both customers and drivers."
Alpha's recently taken over Blueline in Ormskirk and has big plans in west Lancashire too: https://www.qlocal.co.uk/ormskirk/ne...tm#post6903076

When I worked as a Private Hire driver up to 2020,a couple of drivers would go out regularly, driving out to Lancaster,Preston,Burnley, etc,to pick up drivers, allegedly some of these were family members, who would then work locally from Thursday afternoons through to Monday mornings, before being taken back home again, and then repeat...A few problems were caused by this,as they obviously did'nt know any of the local areas, and they had to rely on their Sat-Nav to get customers to their destinations..

I’ve seen a number of private hire vehicles locally and in Liverpool driving round with West Bromwich plates on.
