Natalie Elphicke
Wow
This woman is a nasty piece of work. Succeeded her husband, another charmer, who went to jail.
Represents Dover and yesterday tried to join the people picketing P and O about their appalling treatment of their crews, following the disgraceful climb-down by this government who were allegedly going to demand decent pay and conditions.
However the pickets recognised her and gave her the bum's rush.
What is most interesting is that while MP for Dover, she DISAGREES with the Rwanda policy and would prefer, as would Labour, a grown-up policy of actually working with other European states to stop it at source.
It makes you almost feel sorry for Sunak. But only almost

She will be well at home with the liar Starmer.
Her criticism of Starmer is deep and vitriolic.
She is on the far right.
As recently as a year ago, Elphicke wrote an opinion piece for the Daily Express that was headlined: “Don’t trust Labour on immigration they really want open borders”, and ended with an attack on Keir Starmer, who she described as “Sir Softie”
Elphicke’s positions in the House of Commons have put her starkly on the right, even in comparison to some other Tories.
She has consistently voted for making it easier to remove someone’s British citizenship and has almost always voted for stronger laws and enforcement of immigration rules.
On green issues, she has been at odds with Labour. As recently as February she voted to reject a climate change test for new oil and gas licences. She has also voted in line with Conservative colleagues on attempts to bring air quality targets to be in line with World Health Organization guidelines.
In other votes she has backed more restrictive regulation of trade union activities.
C&P
Starmer will love her.
She is even a Brexiteer like Starmer is now

Brilliant revenge and a new start.
What could you do to shake off the fact your husband was a Tory convicted sex offender?

There are some famous old Labour stalwarts voicing their problems with her and Starmers welcome.
When I called out Labour for its shift to the right I didn't think they would be taking ERG members.
Yet his slow-thinking sycophants still defend the biggest liar in British politics ever
It has long been clear that Starmer led the most dishonest campaign for the leadership of a major political party in British history now he brings in people with polar opposite views to your average Labour member maybe just maybe were seeing the real Starmer rising from the fetid stink of his faux principles.
His arrogance driven by the polls.
When will the real Labour members make a stand, sitting on your hands whilst led by the biggest liar in British Politics because you see victory will not last as the project lies unravels and the fawning small brains he surrounds himself with show how out of their depths they are.
Let's see how comfortably she sits with her new Labour colleagues in the Commons.
The farce that is Starmer just keeps giving.
Perhaps he should be given a Rodney.

I'm just curious as to why she bothered to cross the aisle.
The cynic in me supposes she did it to discredit Sir Keir Starmer! |

With the Tories majority now down in the 40's and reportedly more defections expected perhaps it is a move to try to force a General Election or a no confidence vote.

Rats deserting a sinking ship.
I'd have thought she's more suited to 'Reform'. But that wouldn't be much of a grand gesture, crossing the house to sit with 30p Lee.
I'd have liked Starmer to tell her where to go, but it's more about poking Sunak in the eye. It might destabilise Sunak's already rocky leadership further, but that's all. She won't be selected to fight her seat under a red rosette.
I think it was a last defiant gesture until she goes the way of Raab, Kwarteng, Javid etc into the political wilderness. She's not wanted in Labour, she doesn't want to be in Labour. I don't think that many Tories admire her either, to be honest. No great loss to the Tories, certainly no gain for Labour.
She probably wants a Tory leadership change before the election.
Tin eared on Starmer's side though. I wouldn't have used it as a press opportunity. Bad optics all round.

So Starmer the liar and new Brexiteers ERG mate Natalie was trying to get her assaulting husband an easy ride.
Will they will both be at the "Broad Church" today queueing up outside the Confessional, pity those waiting behind them they better take a flask
We might just have to get a cabbage for his tenure.
Ex leader Jeremy Corbyn and Dianne Abbott out and Natalie Elphicke in.
The weak Conservatives at least have something to laugh about as they queue up for the cliff edge.

Jess Phillips has revealed that seeing Natalie Elphicke cross the floor to join the Labour Party felt "a bit like being punched in the gut"
She is now calling for Elphicke to be investigated.
The liar Elphicke and the liar Starmer a match made in heaven.
To think she was slagging Starmer off the week before she must have had one hell of a conversion.
Now Starmers a Brexiteer she could take him along to some ERG meetings to see her old mates although he might struggle to get in with his form of lying.

Strangely enough Natalie Elphicke and Sir Keir the liars new ERG "mate" didn't turn up at her local Labour club last night, too right-wing for her?
Methinks she has done the liar Starmer up like a kipper, perhaps they will let Jeremy and Dianne in instead after all Labour has had a year or so to consider her future and yet we are told they this bunch of amateurs think themselves ready for government.
More fool the weak vacillating Conservatives Lemmings for allowing the voters and this bunch to even think they are capable of running anything.

There's some silly, desperate content on this thread.
Of course Labour were going to accept the win of accepting another Tory MP defecting to their party. They're not going to look that gift horse in the mouth.
That she's a diehard anti-immigration right-winger makes it all the more of a prize. That a right-wing, anti-immigration MP for Dover no less has defected to Labour sends a resounding message to what Tory voters see as the Tory's repeated failures on immigration numbers.
It sends the message to the Tory party and other Tory MPs that if the likes of Natalie Elphicke can defect to Labour then virtually any Tory MP can defect.
And if the likes of Natalie Elphicke, a Brexiteer, an ERG member, and the once Tory MP for Dover can defect to Labour then it's now much easier for Tory voters to switch their vote to Labour.
The Tory party understands this, which is why they're furious with her.
That there's been something of a backlash within the Labour party is understandable and a price worth paying.
